Outlook 2010/2013 Error: "recipient’s organization is not setup for secured sharing"

I just came across this issue for the nth time and decided I'd put up a quick post about it. A user tries to share out a calendar in Outlook and it throws one of two errors:

Recipient’s organization is not setup for secured sharing

-or-

Calendar sharing is not available with the following entries because of permission settings on your network

The problem is from Outlook's autocomplete caching old or removed email addresses...which MS seriously needs to fix.

Luckily the fix is easy:

When the user shares their calendar, and the invitation opens, they will be asked to enter the email address(es) of the recipients.

Instead of having them allow autocomplete to populate the addresses, they need to click the "To:" button and choose the recipients from the GAL.

Now, the invitation will be sent with no errors.

    1. Does it throw an error when they try to open the invite?
